We are seriously in love with Apulia region. Why? A region with beautiful sea, still a step further from the most touristy places, with typical Masserias (“farmsteads”) with olive, orange and lemon trees in their gardens. Just perfect for a Mediterranean Italian style wedding.
Jenna and Marc came from France with more than 150 guests and decided to tie the knot in an elegant Masseria close to Ostuni. The lovely Jewish ceremony was held on the terrace and the sit down reception followed in the big garden. The party continued with lots of dances in the pool terrace until late hours. A great band and the moon over the sky made sure that everybody was having the time of their lifes!

It happens everytime we do plan a wedding in Italy overlooking the sea: we think that there’s nothing more romantic than a ceremony on a terrace overlooking the blue water.
And there’s a Castle, in the north east part of Italy, not far from Venice, whose balconies and terraces have such a dramatic view over the sea. Dina and Alex decided to have their beautiful afternoon Jewish ceremony on a such a gorgeous summer day of late June. Sun was shining and the celebration was accompanied by the sound of an harp & violin. The wind has been part of the touching ceremony too, blowing through the white Huppa.
White and pale pink orchids have been used to decorate the long familiar table for the sit down reception that followed a refined and charming cocktail at one of their balconies and in the lush garden of this spectacular castle overlooking the sea.
A perfect location for a destination Wedding in Italy!

A Jewish wedding on the shores of Lake Maggiore in the beautiful gardens of a private villa in Stresa, an extraordinary venue for a once in a lifetime wedding in the Italian lake district. Jewish wedding ceremonies are always very special and again we enjoyed the great atmosphere behind the very traditional rite. The day continued indoor the villa and under the gazebo with an everlasting dancing party and dinner!

Some weddings are really very special. Alexia and Steven’s wedding is one of those we will always keep in our heart. We have arranged before a few Jewish weddings in Italy, but always very small or not following the ancient traditicion that made a Jewish wedding very unique and awash with pathos! We had the opportunity to know Alexia and Steven in summer of 2012 when they organized a trip to Italy to find the perfect venue.
Immediately we loved their spirit and ideas, the beginning was hard as we need to deal a lot with the venues to find the perfect one! Finally we did and we could begin to plan this extaordinary and exclusive wedding with 200 guests coming from all over the world, mostly from Belgium.
The three days in Tuscany were filled with a lovely gathering in a typical Tuscan fattoria on the hills around Barberino Val D’Elsa, tasting home-made dishes arranged in the most typical Tuscan cousine with the background music gently playing all around the venue. The night kept on party around the pool at the venue for the younger people who enjoy a DJ set until 3 in the morning (Steven was really caring about drinks and music for this happening!)
The wedding was magnificient. We had to deal with the weather that really stressed out until the last minute. We indeed wanted to set up everything outside as the views are unbeatable! After the sky went blue and the sun was shining high, we could breath happily and the Ketouba could begin with the Rabbi, Steven and the families. I believe the wonderful photos of Carlo Carletti well explain the emotions of the Houppa and the long party that lasted until 5 in the morning. What an incredible day!
A big hug to our new friends Alexia and Steven and we will always remember your wedding fondly in our hearts.
